Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of scigoldpower.com (the "Site") and your purchase of products from SCIGOLD (operated by Scigold Technology Co., Ltd.). By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to place an order. By placing an order, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

2. Orders & Pricing

• All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.
• Prices are subject to change without notice; the price at checkout is final.
• An order is not accepted until you receive an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders for any reason, including pricing errors, suspected fraud, or limited availability.
• If we cancel an order after payment, a full refund will be issued within 5–10 business days.
• Sales tax is added at checkout based on the destination address where required by law.

3. Shipping & Delivery

• We ship only to addresses in the 48 contiguous US states and Washington, D.C., not to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, other US territories or APO/FPO/DPO addresses.
• Free standard shipping on US orders of $35 or more. Orders under $35 ship for a flat $4.99 standard shipping fee.
• Standard delivery time is 3–7 business days within the contiguous US.
• The BK5300 jump starter and power bank (115.2 Wh) ships by ground only: never by air, and never by USPS. See our Shipping Policy.
• Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the carrier. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or other factors beyond our control.

4. Returns & Refunds

We offer a 30-day return policy from the date of delivery. To be eligible for a refund:

• Items must be in original condition, with all packaging, accessories, and components included.
• Used batteries that have been cycled more than 5 times are non-returnable for safety and hygiene reasons (you may still file a warranty claim — see Section 5).
• For change-of-mind returns, return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility. We cover return shipping for products that arrive damaged or defective; covered warranty claims follow Section 5.
• The BK5300 jump starter and power bank (115.2 Wh) cannot be returned by USPS or by air; we will tell you how to send it back by ground.

To start a return, email info@scigoldpower.com with your order number. We will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and a shipping address. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days of receiving the returned item, to the original payment method.

5. 12-Month Limited Warranty

Every SCIGOLD product carries a 12-month limited warranty from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty covers, by category:

• Cells (AA, AAA, 18650 and 21700): cells that fail to retain at least 80% of rated capacity within the first 100 charge cycles.
• Charging cases and chargers, namely the Pocket Case (CW505), the Home Case (CW508) and the Bench Dock (CW401): malfunctions such as display failure, port damage or charging circuit defects.
• Cables: fraying or connector failure under normal use.
• Wall chargers: port damage, or failure to power on or to charge under normal use.
• Portable chargers, including the BK5300 jump starter and power bank and the lightstick battery: port damage, or failure to charge, to hold a charge or to deliver power under normal use.

The warranty does not cover:

• Physical damage from drops, crushing, or punctures.
• Water damage (unless the product is marketed as water-resistant).
• Use with incompatible chargers or in applications outside the product's intended use.
• Normal wear on cosmetic finishes after extended use.
• Loss or theft.

For a manufacturing defect covered by this warranty under normal use, we will repair or replace the product. If we cannot repair or replace it, we will refund its purchase price to your original payment method. SCIGOLD pays for assessment, parts, labor, repair or replacement, and shipping both ways for a covered claim. You do not pay these costs. Products that arrive damaged or defective remain eligible for a replacement or full refund at your choice, as described in Section 4 and our Returns Policy.

How to get warranty service

1. Email info@scigoldpower.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos or video where applicable.
2. We will review the issue and provide any troubleshooting steps or an RMA with return instructions. Do not send a battery that is damaged, swollen, leaking, or otherwise unsafe until we have confirmed the appropriate handling instructions.
3. If a return is needed for a covered claim, we will arrange prepaid shipping. We will assess the product and arrange the repair, replacement, or refund. Warranty claims are typically resolved within 7 business days.

This limited warranty is provided by Scigold Technology Co., Ltd., Room 5031, 5/F, Yau Lee Centre, No. 45 Hoi Yuen Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Contact us by email before mailing a product; we will confirm the appropriate return address and carrier.

Your legal rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. We do not disclaim implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose for products covered by this written warranty. The 12-month term describes our express limited warranty; it does not limit the duration of any implied warranty under applicable law.

See Section 10 for limitations of liability and the applicable state-law exceptions. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be limited under applicable law.

6. Product Use & Safety

SCIGOLD batteries contain lithium-ion chemistry and must be used responsibly. By purchasing, you agree to:

• Use only with chargers and devices designed for the rated voltage and chemistry.
• Follow the charging, use, and storage temperature instructions for your specific cell. The Cold-Weather 18650 series' -40°C (-40°F) use rating is not a charging temperature range; contact us for model-specific charging guidance.
• Not puncture, crush, disassemble, or modify cells in any way.
• Recycle intact, exhausted cells through an accepting battery recycler; confirm the location's requirements first. For damaged, swollen, leaking, or recalled batteries, contact us or your local household hazardous waste program for special handling instructions, as explained in our safety guide.
• Keep cells away from children and pets.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including but not limited to text, images, logos, product photography, lab reports, articles, videos, and the SCIGOLD name — is owned by SCIGOLD or licensed to us, and is protected by US and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. Fair-use quoting for review or commentary is permitted with attribution.

8. User-Generated Content

If you submit reviews, comments, photos, or feedback, you grant SCIGOLD a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and display that content for marketing and product improvement purposes. You retain ownership of your content. You represent that any content you submit is original, accurate, and does not infringe any third-party rights.

9. Site Availability

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. THIS SECTION DOES NOT DISCLAIM ANY WARRANTY ON SCIGOLD PRODUCTS, INCLUDING THE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY IN SECTION 5 OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCIGOLD'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR OUR PRODUCTS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT IN QUESTION. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR DEVICE DAMAGE.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. These limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not limit the warranty service promised in Section 5 or any rights or remedies that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your purchase will first be resolved by good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration administered by JAMS in San Francisco, California, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for IP or trade secret matters. You waive any right to a jury trial or class action.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be posted with a new "Last updated" date and, where required by law, emailed to active customers. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
