This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar tracking technologies SCIGOLD uses on scigoldpower.com, what they do, and how you can manage them. Read it together with our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. It lets the site remember information about your visit — like your preferred language, items in your cart, or whether you're logged in — so the next visit is smoother. Some cookies last only as long as the browser session ("session cookies"); others persist until they expire or you delete them ("persistent cookies").
We also use similar technologies (local storage, pixels, web beacons) that serve similar purposes. For simplicity, this policy refers to all of them as "cookies."

B. Analytics (cookieless)
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand aggregate site usage — page views, referrers, and which content resonates — so we can improve the site. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies on your device and does not track you across other websites, so no consent banner is required. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, also adds its Cloudflare Web Analytics script to our pages; it measures page views and page-load speed in aggregate and is cookieless too.
Pages on scigoldpower.com do not use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, or any other cookie-based analytics. Shopify's own analytics cookies on our store and checkout are listed in section C. If we add cookie-based analytics to this site in the future, we will list them here and add a consent mechanism first.
C. Analytics and marketing set by Shopify (opt-out)
Pages on scigoldpower.com set no marketing cookies of their own. Our Shopify store and checkout (shop.scigoldpower.com) set Shopify's own analytics and marketing cookies, listed below. They support the advertising described in our Privacy Policy. This is opt-out, not opt-in: to opt out, use our opt-out page, linked as "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the footer of every page on scigoldpower.com.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the cart and checkout functionality. Blocking analytics and marketing cookies does not affect site functionality.
Do Not Track (DNT)
This site sets no tracking cookies of its own, so there is nothing on these pages for a Do Not Track signal to turn off. Our analytics (Ahrefs and Cloudflare Web Analytics) are cookieless. Checkout runs on Shopify, which sets its own cookies there; to opt out of the advertising sharing described in our Privacy Policy, use our opt-out page. Two of those Shopify cookies, _shopify_y and _shopify_s, are scoped to the whole scigoldpower.com domain, so they may appear in your browser for this site after you visit our Shopify store, checkout or opt-out page, though this site's code does not use them. If we introduce any cookie-based analytics or marketing on this site in the future, we will gate them behind explicit consent.
4. Changes to this policy
We update this Cookie Policy whenever we add or remove tracking technologies. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
