All eight slots charge at the same time, at 360 mA each, from one USB-C cable. A full case takes about 2.5 hours from a 5V/3A source.

Each slot watches its own cell and stops when it is full, so a nearly empty cell and a half-full one can share the case. No matched sets, and a per-slot LED shows each cell charging.

AAA: Every slot also takes 1.5V Li-ion AAA. SCIGOLD AAA cells are not sold yet.
Not for: NiMH or alkaline cells. The Home Case is made for 1.5V Li-ion AA and AAA only.
Power: A USB-C source that supplies 5V: a phone wall charger, a laptop USB-C port, a GaN brick or a power bank, including the SCIGOLD 100W and 150W wall chargers.

Why a Charging Case (Not a Cradle)

An open charging cradle leaves its contacts exposed. This one closes into a coffee-mug-sized cylinder that sits on a counter or shelf as the household’s AA hub. The 8 slots are arranged around a center post inside the lid; the contacts only touch when the lid is fully closed.

That means:

Cells stay protected from short-circuit, even in transit
No exposed contacts attracting metal debris
It looks like a small thermos, not a piece of electronics
All 8 cells stored and charged in one closed case

Drop the cells into the charger

Place your SCIGOLD AA 1.5V Li-ion cells into the 4-slot Pocket Case (CW505) or the 8-slot Home Case (CW508), matching the + and − terminals shown in each slot.
Connect a 5V/3A USB-C source

Plug a USB-C cable into the case and connect it to a 5V/3A USB-C source — a phone wall charger, laptop USB-C port, GaN brick, power bank, or car charger. No proprietary adapter needed.
Watch the per-cell status display

The Pocket Case's LCD or the Home Case's per-slot LED shows each cell charging independently. A nearly empty cell and a half-full one each charge on their own and stop when full.
Done in about 2.5 hours

A full case of cells goes from empty to full in about 2.5 hours from a 5V/3A source. Charging stops automatically when each cell is full. Unplug the case once charging is done; the cells can stay in it for storage and travel.

Can the Home Case charge 8 batteries at once?

Yes. The Home Case has 8 independent charging slots and charges all 8 cells simultaneously, not in sequence. Each slot draws its own current and terminates on its own, so a full case of 8 cells charges at the same time without slowing each other down.

Does the Home Case charge AA and AAA batteries together?

Yes. Every slot accepts either size, so you can mix AA and AAA freely in any combination across the 8 slots. The universal pin-style contacts fit both form factors, and each cell is charged to its own correct 1.5V Li-ion target regardless of which sizes you load. SCIGOLD AAA cells are not sold yet, so today the Home Case charges SCIGOLD AA cells.

What does independent per-slot charging mean?

Each of the 8 slots monitors and terminates its own cell separately. A nearly empty battery and a half-full one in the same case each charge to the correct voltage and stop when done. You never need matched pairs or sets, and one weak cell will not affect the others.

Does the Home Case come with batteries included?

No. The Home Case is sold without cells. The box includes the case, a USB-C charging cable, and a user guide. Pair it with SCIGOLD AA cells (a 4-pack or an 8-pack), or choose the AA Family Bundle, which includes this charger plus 8 cells.

What power input does the Home Case need?

The Home Case charges over USB-C and accepts 5V at up to 3A from a USB-C source that supplies it: a phone wall charger, a laptop USB-C port, a GaN brick, or a power bank. A USB-C cable is included in the box. There is no separate proprietary adapter to keep track of.

Can the Home Case charge AAA batteries?

Yes, every slot takes AAA as well as AA. SCIGOLD does not sell 1.5V AAA Li-ion cells yet, so today the Home Case is a charger for SCIGOLD AA cells; the AAA support is built in for later.
